Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Monopoly GO Game ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of monopolygo.game (opens in a new tab), collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit our website, use Google Sign-In to subscribe, receive our email updates, or contact us (the "Services"). Our Services provide game guides, event schedules, dice links, and related updates. We are an independent website and are not affiliated with Scopely. This policy covers our website and subscription service, not the MONOPOLY GO! game or separate third-party apps linked from our website.

You can read our public content without signing in to Google or subscribing. Google Sign-In is an optional way to provide your email address for a subscription; you can also enter your email address manually.

For privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, contact privacy@monopolygo.game.

For subscriptions, we use ipapi.co to obtain your IP address and country code. This lookup sends your IP address to ipapi.co. We use an approximate country derived from your IP address; our subscription form does not request GPS or precise device location. We do not need your payment card details to provide website content or email subscriptions.

Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or sensitive personal information in support messages.

2. Google user data: access, use, and storage

What we access

If you choose Google Sign-In or Google's One Tap prompt, Google supplies our website with an ID token (a sign-in credential). That credential can contain your email address, email verification status, Google account identifier, name, profile picture URL, and information about the credential's issuer and expiration. Our subscription code reads the email address from this credential. It does not use your name or profile picture to deliver the subscription.

The subscription request sends your email address, the fact that you subscribed through Google, IP address, country code, and browser language to our backend. It does not send the full Google ID token, Google account identifier, name, or profile picture to our subscription backend. We do not request Google access tokens or refresh tokens for this feature.

We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Calendar events, contacts, or other Google Workspace content. We do not receive your Google password and cannot read or send messages through your Gmail account.

How we use Google user data

We use the email address received from Google to register and manage the subscription you request, send our game and event updates to that address, and respond to requests about that subscription. Choosing Google Sign-In in our subscription flow subscribes that email address to these updates. We send these messages through our email delivery service, not through access to your Gmail mailbox.

We do not sell Google user data or use it for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit or lending decisions, or training generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. We do not transfer Google user data to data brokers, information resellers, or advertising platforms.

Monopoly GO Game's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (opens in a new tab), including the Limited Use requirements. The Google-specific restrictions in this section apply even where other parts of this policy describe broader processing of website usage data.

Where it is stored

Your subscription record, including the email address obtained from Google, is sent over HTTPS to our Supabase-backed subscription service for storage and subscription management. It is made available to the service providers needed to send your requested emails. Our website also saves the subscribed email address in your browser's local storage so it can remember that you subscribed and avoid showing the Google subscription prompt again on that browser.

The Google sign-in credential is processed in browser memory during the sign-in flow; our subscription code does not save it to local storage or our subscription database. For how long subscription records are retained and how to delete them, see sections 6 and 7.

3. When and with whom we share information

We share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Subscription infrastructure and email delivery providers: Our Supabase-backed backend processes subscription records. Providers that send our emails process the email address and delivery information needed to fulfill your subscription. Their access is limited to providing these services for us.
  • Google Sign-In: Google handles your choice of account and provides the sign-in credential described above. Google's own collection and processing are explained in the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
  • ipapi.co: This service receives your IP address to return country information for subscriptions. See the ipapi.co Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
  • Website analytics providers: We use Google Analytics for Firebase for website usage events and Microsoft Clarity for interaction analysis, including heatmaps and session recordings. They process website usage, browser, device, and network information through their scripts and tracking technologies. See the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Microsoft Privacy Statement (opens in a new tab). Our subscription code does not send your Google sign-in credential or Google email address as an analytics event parameter.
  • Disqus: Pages with comments load Disqus to display discussions. Disqus may process comments, account details you give it, device information, and tracking data under the Disqus Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). We do not pass our Google subscription credential to Disqus.
  • Legal and security needs: We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to investigate abuse, prevent fraud, or protect the rights and safety of users and the Services.
  • Business transfers: If the operation of the Services is transferred, personal information may be transferred subject to this policy and applicable law. Any transfer of Google user data in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets will require your explicit prior consent.

We do not sell your personal information. Access to Google user data is limited to the subscription functionality, your authorized support requests, security needs, and legal obligations described here.

Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use the safeguards required by that law.

4. Cookies, local storage, and third-party links

Our website and embedded providers use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, provide sign-in and comments, and measure website usage. Local storage remembers your subscribed email address and whether you dismissed a promotional banner. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect usage information to help us understand and improve the website.

You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and clear site storage. Blocking these technologies may affect sign-in, comments, or remembered preferences. Clearing local storage removes the saved email address from that browser, but does not unsubscribe you or delete your server-side subscription record. Use section 7 for those requests. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).

Our website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. You can contact us to exercise privacy choices available under applicable law.

Links to the game, social networks, promotions, and other websites take you to services operated by third parties. Information you provide directly to those services is governed by their policies. Our policy does not authorize them to use your Google subscription information.

5. How we protect information

We use HTTPS to encrypt information in transit between your browser and our subscription service. Google handles the Google account sign-in, so we do not collect or store your Google password. The subscription flow limits the Google data sent to our backend to your email address, rather than retaining the full sign-in credential or requesting continuing access to Google services.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss, and limit access to personal information to people and service providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please protect access to your device, browser profile, and email account, especially on shared devices.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain your subscription email address, subscription method, country, language, and associated subscription records for as long as needed to provide and administer the subscription. This applies equally to manually entered email addresses and email addresses received from Google. We retain IP, diagnostic, and support information only as needed for service operation, security, handling requests, and applicable legal obligations.

When you unsubscribe, we stop sending subscription updates. We may retain a limited record of your opt-out to avoid subscribing you again unintentionally. You can also request deletion of your subscription information as explained below. When information is no longer necessary for these purposes, we delete it or anonymize it. Information that must be kept to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or prevent abuse is retained only for that purpose and for as long as necessary.

If information remains in backups, it is isolated from normal use until it can be deleted through the backup retention process. The subscribed email address stored in your browser remains until you clear the website's local storage or your browser removes it. Revoking Google's access alone does not delete information already received by our service.

7. Your choices: unsubscribe, revoke access, or delete data

  • Unsubscribe: Email privacy@monopolygo.game from the subscribed address and ask to unsubscribe. You can also use an unsubscribe link where provided in our emails.
  • Revoke Google access: Visit your Google Account's third-party connections (opens in a new tab), select the connection for Monopoly GO Game, and remove it. This prevents further access through that authorization. It does not automatically stop our existing email subscription or delete the email address we already received; contact us for those actions.
  • Access, correct, or delete your data: Email privacy@monopolygo.game with the subject "Privacy request" and tell us whether you want a copy, a correction, or deletion. Include the email address used for the subscription. You may specifically request deletion of data received through Google Sign-In and the associated subscription record.
  • Clear the browser copy: Use your browser's site settings to clear cookies and site data for monopolygo.game. This removes the locally saved subscription address on that browser, separately from a server-side deletion request.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that you control the email address involved. Do not send your Google password or sign-in tokens. After verification, we act on your request and ask relevant service providers to delete information as appropriate, subject to the limited retention exceptions in section 6. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful reason that prevents us from fully fulfilling a request. You can continue reading our public website after unsubscribing or removing Google access.

8. Privacy rights and legal bases

Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and US states with applicable privacy laws, you may have rights to know how your personal information is processed; access or receive a portable copy; correct or delete it; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of certain uses or disclosures. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent, appeal our response, or complain to your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on your consent for optional subscriptions and other processing requiring consent, performance of the service you request, legitimate interests in maintaining and securing the website where permitted, and compliance with legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

The categories of information, purposes, recipients, and retention criteria are described in sections 1 through 6. We do not use Google user data for advertising or sell it. To exercise a right or appeal our response, write to privacy@monopolygo.game. We handle requests under the law applicable to you.

9. Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information or market to them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact privacy@monopolygo.game so we can investigate and take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We update the date at the top of this page when we revise this policy. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the website or notify affected subscribers as appropriate. Before using Google user data for a new purpose or accessing additional Google data, we will update this policy, notify you, and obtain any required consent. We will not expand access merely because this policy changes.
